Do you need a pick me up when you’re down? Nominated by Fiona, we’re proud to bring you our Pick Me Up Playlist – with a little Holiday spin!
For me, Christmas is truly is the most wonderful time of the year. As the frost makes the rooftops glisten, the decorations go up and add a pop of colour to the season; I feel myself fall more in love with it every year. This time of year is by far my favourite; if I could swap my birthday for it, I’d do it in a heartbeat.
It’s that time of year again when Christmas is all people can talk about. This holiday above all else is one that carries so many memories for people all around the world. Two Christmases in my mind stand out more than any other though, my best Christmas, and my worst Christmas.
As someone who isn’t fond of leaving the comfort of her bedroom, I’d never class myself as a big traveller. However, over the years I’ve found myself growing increasingly keen to explore.
Happy December! Our blog has been live for two months at this point, and it’s been quite a journey thus far. In the time we’ve been creating our blog, we’ve met many wonderful bloggers that have made us feel welcome in the community. That’s why, to kick off this holiday season, we wanted to share a few of them with you.
We were nominated by Geraldine from Geraldine Talks to list fifty things that make us happy!
Every year I’m thankful that my family and I celebrate Thanksgiving together. We’ll cook great food, sometimes watch a movie, but before the festivities begin, we say thanks.
Recently, I’ve been struggling for motivation to write. I tweeted about how I’ve been feeling lost when it comes to blogging and my struggle to be myself. I had a bunch of ideas for posts, but writing them just didn’t feel right. They didn’t feel like me. One evening I was crying, sat wrapped in a Honeydukes blanket, wearing Horcrux socks and listening to the Harry Potter soundtrack. As I listened to the familiar sound of Leaving Hogwarts, I felt a wave of goosebumps – and I smiled. That feeling has never left me. It was then that inspiration hit me.
For those of you who have read our about page, you’ve probably seen in the fun facts I’ve got three tattoos. I’ve always loved tattoos and once I started having them done, I realised that they became a form of expression for me. I’ve found it’s always a fun conversation piece and I enjoy being able to tell people the story about them. So, that’s what I’m going to do!
This is more-so a story post on my experiences being bullied as a child, teenager and as an adult. Bullying is a serious topic that I don’t take lightly in any shape or form. If you or someone you know has or is being bullied, please speak up about it. Your voice matters as do you.
